課程概述

本課程主要依寫作時間順序，閱讀並探討以「生命政治」研究著稱的當代義大利思想家阿甘本（Giorgio Agamben）的理論。課程將較完整涵蓋阿甘本從1970s開始迄今三十餘年的理論發展脈絡與核心關懷議題。整體而言，本課程探討的議題包括語言、律法、歷史、權力、生命政治、時間、人、存在、聖俗等，而貫穿這些議題以及阿甘本思想核心的是無神論彌賽亞主義或「無為」（desoevrement）論，因此整個課程可說是在探究終止或「安息」如何在這些現象上運作，意即生命如何可以脫勾於種種人的造作（包括律法、權力、語言、罪、神學等），獲致真正的快樂與救贖。

課程目標

1. 探究阿甘本思想的論述重點與脈絡。
2. 協助學生進行相關論述與研究。

課程要求

1. 規律出席與口頭報告 (20%)
2. 期中短篇論文 (20%)
3. 期末完整論文 (60%)
